Sleeping is difficult enough for me as it is, but with nightmares every other day it's even harder. Usually I don't pester people with my mundane dreams that are never understandable but sometimes I get one that haunts me for a while.
When I was young I had a recurring dream of someone breaking into my house and stabbing me in the throat... Oh, you think that's gruesome? Just wait.
In my dream there was a murderer who strung people up in trees to gut them. I'm not even fucking joking. I don't know who he was but he was coming after my sister and eventually got to her. Every time someone stabbed him or tried to kill him he would live. Someone even attempted to drown him and he still kept coming back to life and picking up little girls to hang them in the trees. No matter how many times I woke up and went back to sleep the nightmare just kept going, until I finally had to get up and get ready for work.
Lately I've been having nightmares of the same sort with murderers coming after people but nothing this vivid or brutal. I think I might have some issues I need to sort through but I would really like to know what these horrible dreams mean.

I know how you're feeling. I am having a hard time with dreams to. My dreams are that "brutal" as your, right now I'm having recurring nightmares about fighting with my friends. They are so real so not only do I wake up sad but exhausted at he same time. Like everything that happened in the dream happened in real life? Does this happen to you to?
I always dream about people I love being murdered and not being able to do anything to prevent it, and then they come after me too. It's horrible, and I don't know how to get of them so I'm not much help. But at least you are not alone! :-)
Get *rid* of them is what I meant, obviously.
